"Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus"
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Pastor James Malkemes About The Pastor
Dear Friends,As this year draws to a close, the Malkemes family has much to be thankful for. God’s hand of blessing has been
upon our children, Paul, Glenna and Amy as they continue to live for the Lord. I believe one of the greatest blessings for parents is to see your children walking with God. Our granddaughters have been a great blessing in our lives. The joy, laughter, and hope that they bring to us is overwhelming. Karen and I have grown a little older and continue to enjoy serving God at NJBC. God’s blessings have surprised and encouraged us in our walk with Him. We are excited about the signs of life and growth that we see in individual’s lives. As we look around the church family, it is good to see that people have put their hope in Emmanuel. Maybe as we end this year, your year was not as glorious as ours. Keep your hope in God. Anchor your faith in this verse:
“For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you HOPE and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you HOPE and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Speaking of the future, our theme for the new year will be “Touch Your Neighbors”. As a church family, we want to lift this to a higher level. As a church, we will be working together to “Touch Your Neighbors”, by helping to keep the town food pantry filled. (See the last page of this newsletter.) At other times, we are going to encourage you to reach out to your neighbors and bless them. I will share more at the annual meeting in January.
Let’s start the New Year off knowing that we have a solid relationship with Jesus Christ. This relationship will guide us through whatever awaits us in 2009. Enter the year with courage and boldness because Jesus Christ is your personal Savior.
In His service,
Pastor Jim

“Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
